What type of antiperspirant is best for hyperhidrosis?

Antiperspirants remain the first line of treatment for hyperhidrosis.  There are many antiperspirants in the market place and can be hard for the consumer to choose the proper product.  For hyperhidrosis, the best products are creamy rub-on formulas labeled “clinical strength,” containing a higher concentration of the active ingredients, but also recommend morning and evening application.  The evening application is the most important because the lack of sweating at night prevents dilution of the active agent and creates a better protein plug within the sweat duct.  Sprays do not create as even a film in the axillary vault and have lower performance.
