What is a nourishing hair shampoo?

Dr. DraelosIt is not possible for a shampoo to nourish hair, since it is non-living. The word “nourishing” is truly a cosmetic term with no medical meaning; nevertheless, consumers ascribe a positive meaning to this term. Nourishing shampoos are conditioning shampoos that both clean and condition the hair, a shampoo category known as a 2in1. When the water concentration is low, the shampoo cleans the hair and when the water concentration is high during the rinse phase, a thin layer of conditioner coats the hair. This leaves the hair less frizzy and more manageable and possibly more “nourished” appearing.
